Recently rebuilt th350 doesn't always shift into 3rd gear

Thanks for this. I knew something wasn't right when my trans was rebuilt. I will be running hard line now to replace the soft line and getting an adjustable modulator.

What is going on with yours? What's the problem? I don't think the soft line is the problem on mine, I mean it's not how it's supposed to be but I don't think its what was causing the problem I think my modulator is bad and they are cheap so I'm gonna replace it in the next couple days.

Modulator was new with the rebuild. Its been awhile since I have driven but I remember when its in 3(D) the shifts are real early. Specifically the 2-3 shift. Maybe its just the new clutches but I had to go manually shift which didn't bother me since its an offroad toy. But I do want it to be correct. The valve body was redone, as it had a shift kit in it(plate style). My trans guy did work to it, I dont know what but I do trust his work.

Well I figured out my problem, turns out it had nothing to do with the transmission, my engine was running on 7 cylinders lol. I opened the hood the other night and noticed that one of the plug wires had popped off the distributer and was laying on the intake.... Runs perfect now.
