recovery straps from 4wheel parts

Any one get their straps they ordered from the big sale? I got mine yesterday. I thought I was ordering the nice procomp straps with the leather wrap on the eyes. What I got were two no name generic looking yellow straps that look like they are from harbor freight. They are still worth the $20 apiece I payed for them, they're just not what I thought I was ordering.

That is not what I got. I got the nice ProComp Strap with leather loops on it. I would call 4wheel parts and bitch. They sent you some crap strap to replace the good strap they probably ran out of or they are just trying to keep the money loss to a minimum by shipping crap straps.

You got screwed.

When I got the crappy one I called them right away and told them what's the deal....Told them it was false advertising yada yada yada and they sent me a pro comp free of charge so I can't complain I got one for free....Although not as nice as the pro comp but it'll do the job aswell.........I would call and complain you got nothing to lose.
 
Call them and bitch. Being 4 wheel parts, it could be an honest mistake, or you have just as much of a chance of them trying to screw you over. I got two nice pro-comp's, if they had sent me cheap yellow ones i would have been pissed.
 
I called 4wheel parts about the straps. They told me these yellow generic ones are the new procomp straps and are actually better than the old ones.

I told him he was feeding me a line of crap, I have some procomp straps already and I can definately tell the difference. He put me on hold a moment, came back and told me to keep the ones I have and they would send me the correct ones in 3 to 4 months when their back order gets filled.

thats pretty ****ty they tried to feed you a line, thats crap, i hate buying anything from that place
 
3 or 4 months, I would complain about that right there, they camn get them faster than that, they are prolly just hoping that after 3 or 4 months you will forget about it and they wont send them.
 
Mine was the right one, but it took forever to get here, they said ten days and in about 20 it arrived
 
Just got mine, and of course, SOL as usual. I got the yellow garbage. Called and complained. First said, they were 30k straps and the right length, so I got what I ordered. On the up side, he didn't argue much when I pointed out the obvious. I guess they are going to send a pick up ticket and new straps supposedly shipped tomorrow (believe that when I see it).

Hmm, this is starting to look like a systematic fraud. It would seem that when they ran out of the Pro Comp straps, some dim-whit had a bright idea that they could "source" some less expensive straps elsewhere and save some money from their first flub up.

I wonder how many people will get the crap strap and not even think twice about it?

I wonder if this would be a criminal issue or a civil issue assuming they knowingly shipped hundreds or thousands of an inferior product to save their butts?
