removable trans hump

Everyone I have seen that is removable has bolts around it.Like this.

look underneath. I have seen ones that were glued like yours but the nuts were welded underneath. all you would have to do is pop off the cover you have and bolt one down.

cutting the bedliner is gonna suck. the factory glue is strong but a good prybar and some patience will get it unglued.

thanks chas, ill look underneath it tomorrow. yea im not looking forward to cutting through the herculiner haha

if I had to cut that out I would use a cutoff wheel on a grinder. its gonna stink and make a big mess.

yea ill figure something out. when i look underneath i should see bolts that are welded in place? if so, ill probably buy the hump itself from someone (do you still have one?) since ill have to do alot of cutting and modding for the doubler shifters and itll be less headache than cutting through the stupid bedliner.

I think I still have the hunp and the floor section it bolts too. give me a few days to check.

Anyone else got one? I need one for my 82 2wd cab for my 700r4/241....TIA!

Why don't you just modify the one you already have? Drill through the spot welds and drill them out to accept a bolt. Then weld a nut underneath the floor. Reinstall with some automotive butyl tape to make a nice seal.
