I have had 67-72 trucks since 1969. This story begins about 3 years ago when I traded a K10 for a 72 K5. Nice looking truck. Tack dash, tilt column, Nice buckets with matching rear seat, complete roll bar. Every thing worked well. Then I started looking at the passenger door alignment. Was about 1/2" low at the latch. After pulling the front clip and fussing with the door alignment it came to me that the guy that had the truck before me, had another guy put some floor pans in the front. Well this is what happened when he cut out the old pans and welded in the new. Without the support of the passenger side floor pan the firewall leaned inboard which created the misalignment on the passenger side. While the drivers side had the steering column bolted in to support the fire wall in place. Still need to remove the passenger side pan, porta power the passenger side fire wall into the proper position then reweld in the floor pan and rocker. I spent alot of time spent just just trying to determine what was wrong. So with that said------------------
