I have a gas engine driven air compressor with a 20 gal tank. When I drain it there is a yellow slime which is oil mixed with water. I would like to remove the pipe end plugs to inspect the tank for rust and clean out all the crud.

I'm going to put some heat on the pipe end fittings. Anyone have had good results removing these fittings?
