I cannot remember off of the top of my head but the socket is not perfectly flat. I think is was maybe a total of 1/8" so 1/16" of circumference. The socket does not see a lot of torque plus it has the ring that the nut fits inside so that helps support the pins that fit in the nut. Mine is very snug inside the hub but it turns just fine. I also ground the tabs on the locking washer on the outer edge and had to file the keyway slot slightly maybe 5 min per side.
