removing Air pump on an 87 Blazer

I have an 87 Blazer with a 305 in it. I am taking the airpump off and tossing it. What do I do with the plug that goes into that valve? Can it just be grounded out? I would like to have the service engine light go out.

I tried a search but nothing I found addressed what to do with the two wires in the plug.
