removing and re-using steering studs

did some searching on here and pirate and didnt come up with anything...

what is the general consensious on re-using steering arm studs that i would remove from the drivers side knuckle and use in my flattop for xover, i realy dont feel like spending 30 bucks on new ones

if it is felt to be unsafe ill simply buy the new studs etc

i always re-used them, as long as they aren't buggered up, & the threads look good.
