ok i traded my 84 for an 81 i used to own a couple years ago, a few days ago they spray painted the door panels and such with cheap wal mart (blue colorplace brand) black gloss spray paint,
its still kinda tacky

i want to remove it ?
i have some denatured alcohol

what would work and not melt the panels etc ?

also whjat could i strip the exterior with? it has same cheap spray paint on it, i want to remove and go back over with black primer and maybe later camo paint or something

thanks

i would say brake parts cleaner! it seems to take off any rattle can stuff. i think it's pretty good with plastic parts :D

where do you get acetone ? how much it is ?

Ya can get a pint for $5.00 at a Hardware store. Wally World and K-Mart carry it also.

overspray on glass - single edge razor...

i'd suggest lacquer thinner over acetone.. it cuts better than acetone and isn't quite as stinky, easier on the skin too.. you can help open up the surface by using a scuff pad with thinner first and once it starts coming off, swap to paper towels and thinner... gallon of lacquer thinner usually runs less than $10..

if that don't work, go with the easy-off...
