Removing Tranny tunnel

I know this is a stupid question, but searching i couldn't find anything, how do I remove the tranny tunnel in a 86 blazer (is it spot welded in place?) And also if it is how do I locate the spot welds.

You need to pull up the carpet and look . There was an 86 here not too long ago ( my yard ) and it was spot welded . But it looked just like the older trucks , so you can probably drill holes and use self tappers once its off .

I don't remember how many , but IIRC the spot welds were on top in the cab

Thanks, yeah i just pulled the carpet, lookes like i will have to get the drill out.
