I haven't heard anything yet so I'm assuming that means Rene is still on his way to meet with Twiztid. They should be meeting up within the hour.

Update: I just got off the phone with Eric (Twiztid). Rene is aboot 15 minutes away from the meeting place. Eric found a spacer so he has all the correct parts to fix the alternator. If the threaded end of the sheared off bolt comes out easily, the repair should take just a few minutes to complete. Rene mentioned he had that bolt out recently so he doesn't expect it to be rusted in.

Just got a call from Rene. Eric (Twiztid) had the correct parts and the repair is completed. Thanks Eric, good job!! Rene was at Eric's house and was going to get some sleep before heading back out on the highway. Rene said to say thanks for everyone's help and support.

Eric's house in in Clearfield, Utah, just outside of Ogden.

Good job Twiz, wish I were close enough to meet up/help out. Even if he went through Phoenix right now, I wouldn't be any use since I'm cooling my heels in LA this week. I haven't even had time to read much going on here, glad you, Gandolf and the others were around to help out. Makes me glad just to be a part of this group.

If it makes you guys feel any better...I use to hit things all the time when I got mad. Not so bad any more. Sometimes I throw things though. Just ask Wayne. And I am a female. I still haven't heard from Rene since this morning, so that means everything is going OK. He's now about 2 hours from home based on his estimate.

I got a PM from Rene a few minutes ago saying that he has made it home. He didn't give any details, but said he was having a little trouble focusing his eyes. He's been up since Twiztid's house so he's probably going to bed right away.

Home safe and sound after an incredible adventure. Can't wait for the stories from Rene.
