Replace U-Joints now vibration

Already flipped the yoke gonna go test drive. Bottom u joint is still tight even after re installing it

If it's that tight, it's not right, you need to fix that before you end up having to replace the new ones.

The vibration is ALOT better but still there. Gonna go get a cheap u joint from Orielly to throw on the bottom and see if it will be looser?

Note to yourself next time: put marks on driveshaft so it goes back together in the same orientation.

were the caps sit in the drive shaft yoke .

smack the base of the yoke just before the tube weld .

do this for each side and each u-joint .

this will relave stress from installing u-joints.

flex the joint before and after you will feel a difference.

I did what you said to do. and after driving it I feel it has loosened a bit. but I still have a very very small vibration. I will take it to a driveshaft shop tomorrow just to see what they say.

Did you take the rear u-joint apart?

Yes sir. And reinstalled it. It was still tight. I test drove it again and the vibration was better. Pull the shaft out to take it to a shop tomorrow and the u joint felt looser. I'll let y'all know what they say.

I went by the drive shaft shop today. The gentleman looked at it and said "I bet you didn't install the clips on the caps that the shaft goes over"and I said no sir I sure didn't. He also beat on the yoke like sweetk390 suggested and loosened up that rest u joint!

Gonna install it tonight and go from there.

Awesome at least it didn't cost anything, and turned out to be an easy fix.

I told the guy I would buy his lunch next time I'm in the area. Thanks for all of y'all's help
