Replacing a Chevy 208C transfer case with a Chevy 241C ??

As long as the 241 was mated to a 700r4, and there were no changes made, then it will bolt in place of the 208 without any modifications or input shaft changes.

Yes, as long as they have the same spline count.... 27 spline for th350,700R4, 4L60 and 32 spline for th400, 4L80E, sm465 and NV4500
Ok thank you! This one is a 700r4 mated to 208 right now but gunna mate it to 241

So right now i have a 700r4. The bolt holes where the adapter goes to mate the Tcase are stripped. Has anyone had this issue before? Is there a way to fox it? It’s leaking pretty bad and I want to fix it before I ruin the transmission. Found 700r4 for 850 rebuilt with 1500 miles but really don’t want to spend that much if it’s a simple fix. Any feedback would be appreciated

Thread repair inserts. Also called heli-coils. There are kits which have the proper drill bit, inserts and installation tool.
And make sure that you have bolts which are long enough when you go back together.

If there is enough room ,longer bolts and nuts added behind the transmission tail housing is another way--some guys do this in addition to heli-coils to add extra insurance the bolts wont loosen again or risk pulling the threads inserts out ..

Going to have to try this method first. If not going to pick up the 700r4 I found
