I've got a M1009 (Mil Blazer) and a donor Blazer. The M1009 dash frame has a hole hammered in it for something and additional pieces on it for radios & such. It's also a little rusty. I'd like to replace it with the frame out of the Blazer.

The problem is where the dash & windshield meet. Looks like it is pressed and spot welded together. I'd like to separate it with as little damage / bending as possible because my fab skills are nil and I can't weld:doah:

Looking for suggestions on the best way to separate & rejoin them. J/B Weld and about 10 C clamps? Maybe a thin U-Channel as well? Bondo? Elmers?
