I have searched and read up on many members replacing their floors. What I would like to know is where you guys bought your replacement pieces from. I don't need the entire floor from front to rear just sections.

Here is what I need:
Driver/Passenger front (where they would put their feet)
Back bench area (where those passengers would put their feet. The space directly behind the passenger/driver)

I was also considering herculining or line-x. I can just go over the replacement metal after a proper prep correct? I won't need to put down a primer coat or anything?

Hello,
I am going to replace my entire floor pan this summer. So I have been doing some research.
I am buying my floor pan from LMCtruck.com
Here are the panels that you will need (73-91, Blazer or Jimmy)
Cab floor Half-front-LH 32.95
Cab floor Half-front-RH 32.95
cab floor half-rear-LH 99.95
cab floor half-rear-RH 99.95
That should be it.
Thanks
Adam

Thanks for the reply but that makes no sense :doah:

How are the rear floors 3x the price of the fronts when they are half the size?

they're not 1/2 the size.. those are the rear cargo area.. from the tailgate to the front of the wheelwells.. twice as big as the front sections..

the front floorpans are crap.. the worst replacement panel of the bunch.. everything else fits decent.. but the fronts are sketchy.. they only go to about the back bolts of the front seats, if that, and are not the best fitting pieces made... there is no panels available for the section right behind the seat before it steps up to the cargo area as far as i know..

most of the other panels are decent. the left and right rear cargo's, front cargo, wheelwells, etc all fit nice..

Ah ok that's the answer I was looking for. I don't need the cargo pieces (from the trunk to the wheel well area) just those sections where the passengers/driver would put their feet. So from what I am reading I will purchase the fronts (not from LMC of course) and have to extend those pieces to the rear area I am speaking of?

correct... pretty certain those front pieces are the same from everyone, price and quality wise...

those $99.95 rear passenger floor pan actually fits real well, it also overlaps most front floor pans.
and it does go up towards the bed floor, but you would have to weld some angle iron to the top of it to connect to the bed floor.

....so is the floor pans from LMC crap, or is floor pans from ALL aftermarket type places crap?

I thought the cab (gas pedal to the step up for the bed) was divided into two pieces and that the LMC part number listed above cover only that. In other words, anything that says cab has nothing to do with where the back seat pasengers are.

Most sheetmetal parts from LMC are crap. For good aftermarket replacement panels, I'd go with chevyduty or tabcobodyparts.com

the ones that are $100 up top are for under the front seats not the cargo area. They go under the front seats and run to that stepup just before the cargo area.
