This is an awesomely stout bumper - it is virtually indestructible!
The construction is 1/4" steel! The brackets are 1/2"!!

The Reunel web-site lists the application as 1968 to 1988.

This bumper was mounted on a late 70's Chevy 4x4 pick-up. It would work just as well
on a Blazer, a Jimmy, or a Suburban. It mounts nearly flush to the body, so it is a great
replacement for the flimsy OEM bumper.

Here's a description...

Reunel Extreme Heavy Duty Rear Bumpers - The Strongest Towing Hitch and Collision Protection in the World

Heavy Duty Rear Towing Bumper - The Reunel extreme heavy duty rear towing bumper and rear winch bumper is the strongest rear bumper in the world! The Reunel bumper towing hitch capacity is rated to tow 20,000 pounds and delivers a 6,000 pound tongue weight. Designed for rear end collision protection the hand crafted bumper is manufactured from top quality US Steel.

The solid half inch thick steel mounting system wraps the frame from both the side and underneath reinforcing the vehicle host frame. The exterior channels of the bumpers are hand crafted quarter inch thick plate US Steel. Reunel uses top quality DuPont professional automotive finishes to assure maximum durability and quality appearance of the steel. Special features such as relocation of the vehicle trailer plug to a protected location between our signature double half inch steel center hitch area and grade eight hardware guarantees Reunel customers the most efficient rear collision bumper and towing hitch system possible.

PLEASE NOTE - This bumper DOES NOT have a tow hitch or winch mount. As the description below explains, Reunel has weld-on or bolt-on towing receiver options from the factory. The weld-on seems like the better way to go both for strength and for clearance. You can purchase the parts from them and weld it yourself, or have them retro-fit it at the factory.

Extreme Heavy Duty Receiver Hitches - Reunel offers two different female receiver hitch options. The welded in female receiver hitch, rated at 20,000 pounds towing with a 6,000 pound tongue weight, is the strongest of the two options, welding an industry standard square female receiver hitch tube between the two half inch thick center hitch bars of the bumper. The welded in female receiver hitch is the appropriate choice for stock to near stock height vehicles that normally tow with a square female receiver hitch. The Reunel bolt on bottom mount receiver hitch is often the better choice for extraordinarily lifted trucks and rear winch bumpers, or towing situations that would use the double clevis or pin pull of the Reunel signature double hitch center plates.

I can vouch for Reunel quality having run one for years on another rig. I'd be there with cash in hand if I were still in CA.

Go ahead and mail me $600 cash in small bills, include your address and once I receive your cash I will ship you the 90 pound bumper.

"READING IS FUNDAMENTAL"

"Local pick-up only in and around San Jose, CA" - right at the bottom of the ad.

i wasn't sure if it was the fact that it was too heavy or the fact that you just didn't want to bother with shipping. i read the description after i looked at the pictures and asked if you could ship it:doah: i figured you could strap it to a pallet or something and ship it if i payed since there doesn't seem to be too much interest unless your having good luck selling it locally off of CK5

which way will you be heading and are you flying or driving? maybe we could work something out if i flip you some coin you could bring it back east for me

If you guys (ridinhigh & uglytruck) can figure something out I still have it. Would need to happen before the upcoming holiday (4th of July) as I am headed up to Seattle seeking greener pastures. Thanks.
