haha. right now im too lazy to find the pics of urs, but how bad was it? im planning on having about 6" of lift, maybe those extra 2" will make a big difference? but i guess there would still be a problem when flexing

Here are the pic's......

Maybe just sitting there, but once the suspension started to cycle I think it would have hit. Maybe I could just move the axle forward another 1.5" it would clear. I don't know how bad the draglink would be, but like Greg said I could move the steering box forward more :hmm:

That would be an option. Another thing to consider. When you go to high steer you need to have your tie rod shortened and if you use WFO's arms you will have to have the drag link shortened since there arms are mad to accept a DRE and not a TRE. Since I didn't use the high steer, I just swapped the arms around and used the single tie rod arm for my ORD draglink to hook up to since it had TRE's. Does that make any sense?

So stallion how much did you end up moving your front axle forward? Im planning on 52"s with Kurts B-52 brackets mounted in the forward most position and zero rate moving the axle 1.5" more forward.

Im kinda in the same position as muddybuddy and am not sure of what steering setup to go with

Well I did the 52" spring swap so the concensus is 2" forward. I also prob only have like 3.5" of lift.....don't really know, but it doesn't look like 4". I would imagine 6" lift and move your axle forward another inch might solve the problems, but I just don't know. I sure wish someone had a special oil pan I could just buy that cleared the tie rod.

Just build a tie rod that looks like this:

------O-------

The big hoop in the middle clears the oilpan! :haha: Then, you might also get your truck on the Scary Steering website.

:usaflag:

what if you did a slightly bent tie-rod in the middle, would that work?

Rene was saying that might work, but I went with the easy and safe way before Moab. I would imagine if the bend wasn't too bad it would stay flat.....
