If you want a trick shackle & a shackle flip at the same time you could go with a Springer style rear suspension. It is pretty much bolt on with 57" ford springs. The only real fab work that would need to be done it a panhard bar.

Marv ran one on the street for years in his old green K5 and Rob ran his onroad till it became a trailer queen. There are several other people in AZ that run them on DD's and street driven trucks.

If you are interested in it I may be able to hook you up with most of the hardware. I will have to clear it with Marv but that shouldn't be hard.

The revolvers are a bad idea IMHO. I would not run them. They used to be made for fullsizes back in the day but they quit making them probably for a reason.

How about this?

I had these made by DIY4x but unfortunately, I never got to run them. I sold them to georgia gabe. Work pretty well. I don't know how they are holding up, but maybe you could ask him.

I'v got 2 cents to add.

Tera flex revolvers are only offered for Jeeps and Toyots but some of the part numbers interchange (like s-10's rear are actually a jeep part #)

Metal Made Right who 1st made the revolvers that use to list full size ford and chevy parts sold out to tera flex.

Alcan is located in Grand Junction so it would be easy to check out the orbit eyes. Maybe the blue thing could use new springs anyway and kill 2 birds with one stone.

I definately like by ORD flip and the super shackles. No experiance with revolvers though.

So is that a flip bracket with an orbit eye? Damn, that is cool!

i talked to kert about doing johnny joints in the shackle flip for more flex, but im going a different route with my rear now

Look in the 07 cat. they do have a chevy f/s listing that add's 2" of height to the rear.:doah:

It's a 2 1/2 inch johnny joint from currie. Similar part, except half the price if I remember correctly. I had them directly shipped to Kert, and he just charged me a little more to set them up in the flip and switch.

Yea I just talked to Georgia Gabe about that flip setup. Said hes loving it. I was thinking about running that in the back of my new rig.

Thanks everyone for the information. Sorry I bothered all of you hard core guys this is the very reason I'm probaly not going to renew my membership here. I just heard about the revolvers and was intersted in learning about them.

any questions?

seriously, the shackle flip and moving the front spring hangers forwards with longer shackles are the two things that gave me the most flex for the money. the one thing I have left to do that will get me alot more flex out of the front is longer shocks and extended towers... I have them sitting on a shelf waiting to be put on. I just havent done it yet because I havent put crossover steering on it bc Im about to get a 60...

as to the revolvers, they suck on jeeps and they would prolly suck worse on a fullsize rig

Thanks again everyone for your replys! I responded very poorly Something else must have been bothering me that I wasn't aware of and reacted poorly SORRY. I for sure am not interested in the revolver shackles. Thanks again.

Jeez, Fred maybe being up at 4 AM has something to do with it:haha:
I'm always in a good mood when I sleep 'til noon LOL:p:

Just Say No to Revolvers!! Shackle flip makes much more sense for the kind of wheeling you do and the flex isn't all that bad for stock springs. Me & Bo ramped pretty good scores at the B-Day party for just using off the shelf bolt-on stuff.

I am going to go with a flip I'm thinking. To bed by 8 up at 3. When you get old like myself you will undoubtedly develop many aches and pains. I can't seem to lay in bed much longer than 6 or 7 hours.

Don't forget to mention all of the little cat naps you get during the day. :tongue1: :haha:
