78 blazer. Noticed the other day the right blinker isn't working. I can hear a faint blinking sound when it's on. Tried the flashers and the right side still wouldn't work. But if I hold the flasher button on the column the right way, a little side pressure, it works. Anybody else have this or know exactly what is loose or not making connection. Before a tear into the steering column.

1st thing check your bulbs that they have good elements, make sure they are not backwards, and while the lamp sockets are out add a jumper wire to ground to test. If the jumper wire helps find the poor ground and clean/repair it.
You can test the turn signal switch at the connector mid way down the column. Unplug use a multi meter on 200 ohm scale.

If it works, by putting pressure on the switch, then the turn signal switch is bad. Just replace it

The hazard switch is part of the turn signal switch. They can't be replaced separately, so you will have to replace the turn signal switch to fix it.
