ring and pinion tool?

What all would I need to put new gears in my 10 bolt rear end? IT was just recently done with 4-11s but I have 3-73s in the front and it sees more highway then off road. so I was thinking to put the 3-73s back in the rear. Better gas I hope. It doesnt have the posi gov lock anymore it was never put back end when the last one exploded the rear end. I was looking at summit racing at this ring and pinion tool #pro-66516 and was wondering what other special tools I would need to set the gears up right so they will last?

You need a dial indicator with some kind of base to hold it (usually a magnetic one) and a torque wrench that measures inch pounds of torque.

Another option, 3.73 10 bolts are pretty common, you could pick a whole axle assembly up for less than a gear swap costs.

And you keep your 4.10 geared 10 bolt, if you ever want to go back.
