rochester quad question, stalls during warm up

as far as i know, the intake manifold and carb are both original to the motor. i'll take a picture of the carb and intake when i get off work. that will work a lot better.

edit- i did find the exact carb that i have. number matches exactly.

the intake manifold has a small sheet metal box on the manifold on the passanger side. i haven't looked inside the box.

took a street light and every Maglite i own, but got a decent cell phone picture in the middle of the night.

the spring is not connected to the choke pull-off in any way. that is the problem, now i just need the parts to hook them together again.

methinks you need something like this.......:wink1:

The coil sits down in the manifold, and the arm rises up as the coils heat up, opening your choke.....

ordered it. i couldn't find the linkage by itself anywhere. that should take care of the stalling at warm up, maybe it'll straighten out the other problems as well.

put the choke spring in today, choke works great now. i'll need to drive it more before i know if anything else needs adjusting, but it fells good so far.
