Rock Sliders/Minor Boat Siding

Thanks Jim,
yeah, there's an end and it's getting close too.

Not willing to take it to much further than it already is now.

Can't imagine any corner, top or bottom, front or back that hasn't seen sum kind of your attention. How did that bleeding of your hydraulic system work out?

Steering seemed to come into it's own this trip out. (finally)

Changed thing's a little more lately.

Took off the soft top, took off the tail gate, installed a cut down hard top and still looking to do more.
(hard top is getting trimmed up more still)

Shaving weight don't-cha know. :p:

Wow vt, that looks great! The chopped hardtop idea is awesome. A friend of mine has a hardtop sitting in his backyard that just might be perfect for that. Guess I'll take a road trip up and take a look at it. Thank's for all the great pic's and ideas!

Took it to Rausch and did my best to "use" the rock sliders but couldn't even get anything close to em. :thumb:

Leaned on a couple trees but finding a rock to catch was really a challenge and that's a good thing.

They functioned well enough to keep on there.

Cool man. What plans do you have for the halftop? Went and picked up one my buddy had, but it was a 2nd. gen., nice one though. Working on cleaning it up now. I'm gonna go back and look at your sliders again, because I know when I tear into my rocker area I'm going to have issues. Thank's for all the great info.

Tested em good, had the entire weight of the truck being supported by the sliders.

Did manage to put a decent dent/gouge in them though.

Awesome, looks like they work great. Thanks for the reply. Any more changes to the top?

Yeah, smashed it to he!! up on a tree.

It was/is still attatched and working so I'll leave it on for now.

Sweet thread, I'll try to get some pics of mine up, did something similar and trussed the rocker box reminants to the floor pan.

Sorry so long, finally got the cam to work again

First pic is the reworked floor pan, w/ angle iron for the lip.

Second pic is the bottom side of the slider

The sliders are welded to the frame and the angle iron truss to the edge of the floor pan is welded to whats left of the inboard length of the factory rocker
