So Im doing a full top conversion and while looking at the underside of my 88 blazer, trying to figure out how to build them, I asked myself. “Why do I even need them with this body support?”

it runs all the way from the firewall to the back passenger area, just like rocker boxes would. I know it doesn’t attach to the rockers but isn’t the point of the boxes to keep the firewall from bending inward? It seems like this would support the body just fine. Am I retarded? Don’t answer that please. But with new body mounts, solid floors and rockers, and that cab support piece, wouldn’t that be enough rigidity?

Once the roof is cut, stand between the front seats and push / pull on the windshield frame. When you see how easy it moves you’ll want to brace it.
