Roll cage-----where oh where do I get one?

I just purchased an 86 Blazer, VERY excited about this purchase. One of the things that I want to put into this is a roll cage. I have done quite a bit of searching and haven't been able to find anything. Any ideas? By the way, I love this forum. I'm going to be busy this summer

If you are like me then you are picky as hell, And you will soon find out that no company makes a roll cage that suits your needs or wants. For that reason i suggest build your own.

I bought the Smittybilt front and rear roll cage kits and put them together, now I've added a few pieces (rear extension/down tubes,cross supports for the rear, and some other peices front and rear) to make it look like I want it. I'm into it about a grand now but money well spent.

Congrats on the purchase. Its addicting. I'll be doing a cage this summer in my 84 and am pretty close to you (Springs area). If you need any info or help just let me know.

so this will fit in a suburban? How much adapting would it take? is it a bolt in affair, or does it take a buch of special tools? is the 10 point alot better than the 8 point?

$280 sounds like a good deal for a cage. I wonder if it would need to be chopped to fit under the hard top. Also, I wonder if they're assembled, because if they were not assembled they could work great for a base to build off of.
