Rollcage

I took some crappy pics of my cage to add to this thread. here is what the back hoop looked like before I welded it in. its much easier to weld it together outside of the truck.

here are 2 shots from the side. you can see the halo, dash bar, door bars, rear stabilizer bars. hope this helps give you an idea of what you get with an S&W kit. from what I have seen if you order a Jegs or Summit cage you will end up with an S&W kit if you are on the east coast.

Hey chas, is your dash bar covering your gauges? I still need to add my dash and door bars. Also how is the cleareance between you and the steering wheel? When I put my cage in, I threw a stock bench seat in there and I was sitting pretty close to the steering wheel, because the back bar didn't allow me to move the seat all the way back. And have you hit your head at all on the top halo? Last time I wheeled my truck I hit my head once or twice, though being 6'3" doesn't help

there are only two gauges that work in my truck. the tach, which is aftermarket and screwed to the column, and the speedometer, which is probably wrong. the others are either not hooked up or have enough paint overspray that I can't see them.

my seat is in the same spot it was before the cage. I think.:dunno::D its not as easy to slide in and out as it was because of the door bar but its not that bad. a tilt column would make it really easy. I have one but am to lazy to swap it, and I don't have the key.

I will try to remember to get some better pics from the other side. I didn't take any because the sun was shining directly in the camera lense and I could not reposition the truck.
