any pics on how you got it back on four wheels? did you lose any gas, oil, or tranie fluid that you had to replace before moving on? I know what you mean by thinking it was fun though /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif it allways fun to do exiting stuff like that even if it means the truck gets messed up wich does suck /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif. As far as the crap about you being unsafe with the kids, thats retarded. People always do things with their kids that is potentialy dangeruos like riding motorcycles. We make it less dangerous by putting them in helmets and such. The same was this situation. so glad you had a good time bummer about the truck glad everyones ok /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

this is nuts
you are a moron for putting your kids in that kind of danger, you need to have them taken away from you and given to someone who doesnt think having them in a roll over is good times

Screw you guys!!!
I've known Jeremy for years now and he would never put his kids in danger. Never. Last year at the funny rocks he pulled his kids out every time they even got close to pulling one tire off the ground. (before the cage) Gee, why do you think he spent the time to just cage the kids?!?!
Sorry for ranting. Just dont jump on his ass.

/forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gifFirst off, you probably don't have any kids (don't even ask my opinion why). Secondly, That is exactly why I put a cage in, was to protect the kids. Thirdly, you are the kind of guy that pisses me off. You don't know me, my wife, or my kids. Wheeling is a family event around here, and we do it for fun. The kids love it, the wife loves it, and I love it.
Had I KNOWN that the truck was gonna roll, I would have taken the kids out. I have taken them out /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif a million times and the truck hasn't rolled. THis time I thought the truck wouldn't roll, and it did. Sh!t happens. Good thing for the cage.
Don't ever judge me again, and from now on why don't you just not read ANY of my posts... and while you are at it just don't get out of bed in the morning if little things like this are what bothers you because your life will be filled with way too much stress. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

I'm sure if he was trying to roll his truck he wouldn't have the kids in there. I've never came close to rolling my Jimmy, but it sure would be a adreniline rush. Which is probaly why he said woohoo and all that. I don't mean to make anyone mad. Just saying my word

if you think he put his kids in danger WITH a cage, then you must also think that putting a kid in a car seat of a vechicle that goes high speed (55 mph) is dangerous because you can get in a reck in any moment, MORON /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

if he did not have a cage then it would be a different story, but he did have a cage to protect his kids, not put them in danger

glad everyone is ok /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
ill unlock this as long as the flaming stops /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Now that it's unlocked I'll just say that I'm glad nobody was hurt as well, and glad to see that you're in higher spirits about continuing to 'wheel even after rolling. When I rolled mine it scared the crap out of me.

i just crindge when i see anyone roll over. Doesnt matter how prepared they were, it just hurts to see good sheet metal get dented. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

BTW, there was plenty of road left on your right side- any reason why you went over the rocks instead? Im just on of those "take the path of least resistance" but thats just me..

We are glad that everybody was ok.I guess that we shouldn't make wheeling a family thing anymore because our wives or kids might get hurt.I guess I should sell the burb and build my family a bomb proof shelter wrap them up in pads and make them wear helmets and keep them inside to make sure nobody gets hurt /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. or I can remove my kids from in front of the t.v.,spend quality time as a family outdoors and teach them what living really is.Yeah, we will see ya on the trail again real soon /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

All I have to say is glad all is well and no one hurt. I plan on making a carpet panel across the back behind seat from bedrail to bedrail and mount it where the top attaches, so if I ever roll my cooler and trail box stay between panel and floor. My spare would need to be moved to bumper so I am just thinking out loud right now and will do it someday soon. I am thinking some kind of hinged locking door on it so I can get to stuff and leave the cover on. Kinda like a small tonneau cover . /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

thats a good point
here is a better one

they dont sell truck cages at walmart
they dont crash test old a$$ trucks, with fabbed up cages for safety.

WWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

This post has gotten more action than any post I have ever made before!!!!!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

I love wheelin' w/ Smurf, because that guy takes his wife, kids, and Suburban EVERYWHERE!!!
Tecton, the world is not a plastic bubble. Life is dangerous, deal w/ it. When I was in HS a kid got killed playing football. Yup, he had his helmet on, mouth piece in, pads, the whole works... Should we ban football to protect the children?
I don't know what you are talking about walmart, and I just did crash test my "old" truck for safety! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

oh great Bryguy00b has spoken!!! /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif the brain trust of upstate NY. we should all shut up and listen kid. yeah sure STFU Bry /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

[/ QUOTE ]

There is a reason for that!

One of our fabbed up caged trucks would total out the crash sled.

They use trucks like ours for the crash sled half the time if you paid any attention.

Honestly the only thing I saw to be concerned about was how much stuff he had in the back of the truck that was 'free' in the rollover. I take my kids wheeling with me any time I can, they love it and it's a great way to spend time with the family.
Given where I live, it's actually safer for me to wheeling with my kids than it is to take them to the store. There are way too many uneducated idiots on the roads.

*throws arms up*
i give up
ill just think of it as a form of population control
