I want to paint my K5, but I can't afford a professional job being in college. I'm not worried about it looking perfect, just better than mismatched primer. I am also terrible with a spray can, but did exterior painting as a summer job.
I'm set on rolling versus spraying, I was wondering if anyone had any tips. Home Depot said they could mix the orange I want for the exterior for around 25 a gallon. It's exterior house paint. Has anyone used this for their vehicle?
I also want to paint the interior flat black, it is currently light blue. I plan on bed lining the interior eventually.
My dad recently restored a sailboat and has a bunch of marine fiberglass repair materials left over. I know replacement metal is the best, but once again I can't afford it, or have access to a welder. Does anyone have experience with this? My dad says it is a lot stronger than bondo.

) is you must remove ALL of the rust from the metal or it will have a lovely little place to grow and expand without you knowing it and then when it is way bigger then it was at first it will rear its ugly head.
Gotta respect the German engineer/American attitude combo
