Rookie need a little help...

Good luck. Once u figure out the first side the second will be a breeze. And if u cant figure somethin out when puttin the first side back together, u always got the other side to look at.

One down one to go not nearly as bad as I thought.. im never buying tools from a winan in a parts store a gain... Or parts for that matter.. Had to go buy another spinle socket.. Cuz it was open .. Well my day ended on a good note.. Will see how it starts:waytogo:... Still learning

I cant remember what the actual torque specs are. I went so it was tight, then loosened it enough for that post on the inner nut to stick into the hole on that washer. You dont want it really torqued down because then the bearings will heat up alot more i think.

It wasnt as bad as I thought.. It drives alot better, therse alot less play in the steering wheel and it dosent ride rough any more.. Wen I pulled out the passenger side I saw tons of grit in the grease and wat looked to be rust on the hub it self.. Driver side was really loose the lug nuts were loosening up by there selfs, kinda scary.. But now all is working im very happy with my new hubs snow will be fun this year cuz everything is working again.. Thanks again guys for the help.. Now on to u joints rims and tires:D

You'll find CK5 to be an invaluable resource.

The problem is that you learn how to tackle the easy stuff, and pretty soon it's like you say, "on to U-joints" ... then springs ... an axle swap ...

I usually take my ujoints down to pueblo brake and clutch and let them do it. They do pretty good work down there.

Thinking bout it im probly gana look in to doing a little work on the transfer case.. Who has a pretty good rebuild kit and wat should I expect? Is it bout the same as bearings and hubs?

U joints is easy. Hammer, slightly smaller socket than the dia of the u joint cap, and a vice. Get the greasable ones. :waytogo:
