Swapped ESC with a buddy that didnt fix it. Glad I didnt spend the 70 bucks. My friend has the FP gauge so well check that asap. Why isnt the log I posted good enough? Tunerpro is proving to be very finicky.. I can get a good connection to stay working. It also only shows the same values as aldl..
I figured out out to import that txt file and at least make it a spreadsheet so it could be read... having had to use that anceint technoligy in years since real tuning programs are available now...
One thing I can see is your running to cool for what this ECM is programmed for? Your CTS goes from 160*f to 180*f back down to 170*f? These come with a 195 thermastat and logs are usually around 199-200*f. So the ECM thinks the vehicle is still warming up. Add's fuel and spark for that! So it could be bad or has been replaced with wrong one?
My father in law must have used a cooler thermostat in conjunction with the superchip.. thats intresting though.. I usually use the factory thermostat in all my trucks.. Ill get a stock one. That wouldnt cause my problems all of a sudden? That T stat has been in there for 11 years...
Nah wouldn't be all of a sudden unless the T stat is going bad?
Don't skimp on the cheapest T stat! I've seen so many lately that are not even close to rated temp! Stick and then snap open, stick and then sometimes even shut?
Even if you go to Oreillys they have different qualities of same brand, get the one that they deliver to shops!
Kind of strange I had one out and one going in and could not see difference but felt a difference in weight? Then looked closer and could see it was crap!
We'll I figured it out... bad head gasket blow between 3&5 I'm relieved that I found the problem.. At least when it's fixed it should run like a raped ape..
I just got back from the shop. Check this thread again for some more possible tips and what do I find? My next step by my knowledge is telling me what you found. Mine is smoking as of tonight. I've worked my way through all of the questionable components that cause these issues. Only leaves internal mechanical failure.
I didn't take my shop truck with me this trip. Just took what I needed to put it back together and bring home. I am going to compression when I get to it, but the smoke show from the blowby is a good indicator also
