is it true I will get a rough ride if I add a 6 inch lift to my 82 pickup.
or is it only when you add blocks. this truck will be a daily driver.
thanks

Depends on what brand of springs you buy. They all have a different flex rating. For example Rancho is alot stiffer then BDS.

33/12 is that correct, or are they just called 33's.

nothing real big, its a daily driver. thanks

do you know what company products have a smooth ride
on there lift's. Ranchero claims they have a smooth hwy ride.
springs up front and blocks in the back.

if you want smooth ride and do 4" kit go with just springs and ubolts with arm for frt. and do flip kit in rear. and there is a thread on this now in here with pics. will make it ride sweet and smoooth......

BDS and Tough country deliver the best rides out of all the springs, that seems to be the censensus around here. The blocks will keep the stock ride in the back, which is probably best. I have never ridden on the two spring brands I just mentioned but I bet they will ride about the same as the stock springs, maybe just a tad stiffer.

6" of lift on 33's will look good, don't worry about it. I ran 33's for a long time with a 6" kit and it looked great.

if you buy a ck5 member ship you get discounts from are vendors in the vendor area. and thay sell all this stuff and more. the $25 dollers is recoped asap from the 1 or 2 order.

Personally I went with 6" springs front, and ORD 4" Shackle flip rear + 3" springs. (I like the rear level or slightly higher).
In my honest opinion, Tuff Country or BDS is the way too go.

And i can still have a 10 or 12 inch rim?

You definitely do not want a 12 in wide wheel. 10 inch would be pretty good, but you could probably use an 8 inch if you had to.

The best riding springs are BDS and Tuff Country. That being said the best way to make your truck ride better is to get a better shackle angle. Do a search on shackle angle and you will find lots of info on it. A good spring with a good shackle angle will ride very nice.

Also, the taller the lift spring is the stiffer it will ride. 6" springs will be stiffer then 4" springs. If you have a pickup a shackle flip might not be for you. They are not recommend it you tow anything of decent weight.

do you have a web for both these sites. :thumb:

ORD for both the shackle flip, and Tuff Country springs. Don't know the URL for BDS, but I'm sure you can find it by doing a search on Google.
