What's the ballpark going rate of a GM round pattern 205 these days? I don't see them for sale much at all anymore, are they still spendy or have they fallen off?

I ask because I have one with no current plans at all to use it and I need to clear out a bunch of my extra stuff. Well, I don't need to, but I probably should. But if they are valued significantly less than they used to be, I'll just hold onto it.

I am in also .

I have one with 60k ish miles on it and th400 adapter mech speedo and twin stick mod and ord shifter setup .

Ain’t no good, I’ll give ya $25 CASH. :D

Seriously, a couple of years ago they were going for $600 so I’m sure that’s gone up.

Usually when I own parts that are harder to find and somewhat valuable, they end up going down in value. Or I sell something when they are cheap and then they become valuable, lol.

I have prob 8 or 9 empty fig 8 cases with small bearing i can have punched out as needed . Wonder how much for each of the. .

I got lucky and found a round pattern VSS 205 with 4l80e adapter for $150 bucks about 10 years ago. Traded the adapter, but I’m hanging on to the 205. The only reason I could see this model going down in value is that you can get a mechanical unit machined to VSS, and the underdrive unit that I went with only mates to figure 8, without modification.

I’ve bought and sold several small bearing figure 8’s. Most I could get out of them were about $400 with adapter.

Round patterns are hard to find, so that plays into the price for sure.

I dug out my round pattern 205 in question and I was reminded that it doesn't have output yokes on it. However, I did discover that the front output is 32 spline.

I still haven't decided if it's worth selling. I only have two different 32 spline output transmissions that aren't in use yet. An SM 465, but I don't have the correct 205 adapter for it, nor do I care to buy one due to cost. I also have an A833 overdrive 4-speed that is round pattern and 32 spline, but there's no shift rail notch or shifter pivot bolt provision. It would be overkill for that lighter duty transmission anyway.

Realistically I probably should just sell it and find a second 32 spline np208 or a 241 to use with what I currently have available. I've still got plans to run a couple more 205's in upcoming truck swaps, but I've still got complete 10 and 27 spline setups to use.
