I'm not entirely sure what these do, but they look sweet. Can I run them on a rig that see's regular street duty without issue?

They are more for the hardcore wheeling crowd. They replace your locking hubs with a splined piece of steel called a slug. Your front end is always locked in.

You can remove the 4 bolts & 2 snap rings & slide the slug out. He sells a piece of alum (slug eliminator) that goes in place of the splined slug. The alum piece is not splined so it alows the axle to "float" & not spin. So to anwser your question yes you could run them on the street, but you can't just hop out & lock them in. It takes a minute to remove the slug eliminator, & install the spline slug.

when you run the eliminator plugs, don't you still need to use the axleshaft clips?

I would just to keep from loosing it. But I can't see that it would really matter either way. My shafts will not slide in far enough to bind when you steer.
