Rubber question

OK I got a set of sliding side rear windows and the gaskets. I have never used someone elses rubber seal always bought new for windows. What is a good safe way of cleaning the old sealant off the rubber so they seat good and won't dry out from cleaning?

Or does anyone know the GM part number for them?

You want to know how to clean used rubbers so you can reuse them. What I'd do is use a small wire brush. You might be able to use some brake cleaner too, but I'd test it out first just to make sure it doesn't melt the rubber.

Yea I am not worried about the metal to rubber (ie: silicone) but sealing it to the top I want it to be clean.

Big pan of hot soapy water and one of those hand cleaning brushes. Soak the rubber first, then go at it gently with the brush.
That's how I was taught to restore rubber that was on Vintage race & touring cars and was essentially irreplacable.

I found the rubbers at Chevy Duty but I have trouble paying $100.00 each ($200.00) for them not cheap just poor.
