Sure looked like it when they pulled them out.................
Right now we're planning on either the 10th-12th or 17th-19th of June. Those days are Mon-Tues-Wed. Looking at this year's June events and the events I can find for June in 2019, those are the clearest dates. I notice none of the events land on Mondays or Tuesdays so I figure that's a good target.

Close to 30 gallons. Started the trail with 41, ran the trail and drove home on that.
How did you have 41 gallons?
I filled the Jimmy in Tahoe. Drove to lune lake and did the trail. Drove to the same station and put 19 gallons in it.
Yep, 31 gallon plus two 5 gallon cans
So I should plan on 2 gas cans as well then. I have 40gal in the tanks. Our MPG's are probably about the same but mine is a carting around an extra 3/4 ton.
What is the gas station situation like near the trail? Planning to run this in the "typical" direction.
Take gas. Only one station near loon lake. Nothing between there and Tahoe. The gas at that station was $8.00 a gallon 2 years ago.
I wanted to make sure we could fill up before starting.
Fresh Pond is the closest gas to ice house road. You can also get gas in Georgetown if you go through there. On the Tahoe side it’s either north lake or south lake which is a decent 20-30 minute drive from the trailhead.
