I plan on hitting fordyce after the rubicon, if we make it. So much going on right now with the garage, KoH and all the stuff that's broken on the S-10...

Aww man! Only 2 weeks of vacation & SO many places to go!!! I have my heart set on FullSizeInvasion again & May be the bottom 1/2 of the great divide. Hope you guys have a blast & do it again soon.

I would be interested in going with other fullsize rigs. I'm going to keep this on my calendar and see how the truck does at fullsize invasion. Its been many years since I've been to the Rubicon. Last time I was there we put a plaque up for Jason Payne. Time for a visit.

As long as the trail is open, we'll be there. Fordyce trailhead is off highway 80 @ the Eagle Lakes Rd. exit and pops out at Meadow Lake.

a ton of snow, we have 8-10' at the cabin (lake level). I'm more concerned about any runoff issues that could close the trail in June.

I doubt it. We have some other things going on around the same time that I don't think will allow us to change dates. Best we could probably do is just a few days which I doubt will help much if there's an issue.

I was reading that 2011 was the last time the Rubicon wasn't completely passable by mid-June. People were still running it from the Loon Lake side and getting pretty far into the trail before snow turned them back. It was the Tahoe side that wasn't open, and it was just near the end. I figured it was still a reasonably safe date because the week after we're there is when all the organized events kick off.

How do the people interested in going feel about moving the trip back a couple weeks?

I don't know for sure if we can do it, but I'll talk it over with Nicole and see if my buddy Nate could change dates. We are having a house built and we will need to list our house right after the Rubicon trip to make the timing work out right. There's a chance we could make it work if we list a couple of weeks before the trip if we were going later in June or even early July.

Sounds good to me! I found out I have a convention that I have to go to the is the same week as this is planned, plus it gives me some extra time to fix the S-10 (hard to get stuff done with the construction going on).

There are other June events on the calendar that should be considered.

June 14-16 Hi Lander Poker Run w/100 rigs
June 18-23 Rubithon w/300 rigs

I fly back east the week of the 24th for a show so I don't think I can push it out enough to make a difference.

If I was to pick later dates looking at the Rubicon event calendar, it would be June 24-26 or July 8-10. No events on those dates.
