Rumble Bee. (Getting cannibalized for the greater good)

I'll take pics. There does seem to have been some work done. For the most part it seemed very good. But I'll look a lot closer and see

Sitting in the shop finally.
It'll come out once more quick to make some more room. But it's on the final stretch here.

And I had to do a burnout ya know lol... :burnout:

Actually one every single intersection. :D

It is, but it wouldn't happen if it was easier to haul 5 people covered n heated.... Oh well.

I had at one point debated turning it into a 2wd with parts from the dually after I rob the goodies from this. Then make it a tire burner. But I don't have the room at the moment. So it'll go, and I'll replace it later on... Maybe with a 2wd burb... :dunno:

I understand you've gota do what you gota do. And I see you got that gantry done already.

Getting ready to drop the trans. I can't tell if all that gun in the bell housing is coming from the tranny or rear main..:dunno:
I'll see more when I do the pan gasket I guess.

I was actually suprised for some reason, to find it had roller tip rockers. It also has a Holley street dominator intake.
Head casting is 346236. Which is an oval port, but large or small I can't tell....? Every list I've checked just said OVAL.

And the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel all look like they've seen better days to me. I'm not sure if that's from the PO or me lol. But it's never slipped that I could tell even when trying burnouts.... So :dunno:

Clutch is toast toss it. I would just replace both seals then of you're wrong you don't have to take it apart again.

Those are peanut port heads , litterally the worst head ever put on a big block . And probably the most common,

120cc chambers, 225cc Intake 116cc Exhaust ports.

They are adequate for most street needs up to about 400-ish HP on a 454 or smaller engine , but a set of 049’s or 781’s , or even some L29 Vortec heads would really wake that thing up .

Yeah the clutch looked toast to me. But it worked perfect still... Odd.
And can the rear main be changed without lifting the crank? I don't want to pull the engine apart if I don't have to.

This thing has massive cahonae's as it is. And nearly all of my driving, except the occasional burn out lol, is done below 4000 rpm.. so these should be fine.

After I had posted I did more searching and found that they were peanut port..
Works for me really because I want a stump pulling torque setup and don't really care about HP.
That said, when I build the other engine I'll probably try and find a set of usable stock large ovals. Since they're sort of a best of both worlds middle ground.

I'm going to pick one of these up for trans/TC removal and installation. Seems a lot safer than what I had planned lol.

That one only goes up to like 27" lol. I'd rather get the big one but it'll have to wait for now

I just picked up the hydraulic cart, and a pair of wheel dollies. The dollies are to set and move the axles around with.

Now hopefully I'll get to the shop tonight or this weekend to get another good push done on this. My hope is to have it setting on the stands by the end of the weekend.

They need the angle bracing yet, but these are the stands it'll sit on when the axles come out. The front one will sit between the tow hooks, and spring mounts. With full frame contact on both sides. The rear will sit inside the rear shackle hangers, also with full frame contact above the uprights.
