There's cdx plywood triangles to put on the sides yet. But it was too late to cut them out by the time I got that far.

Last night after work I went up there for a while. I got the hydraulic table set up, dolly's assembled, engine mounted to stand better / more centered, test fit frame stands (front needs attention), cleaned up a little, and planned out how to go about the next phase.

Saturday will see a LOT of progress :woot:
 
Couple people I've shown around here looked at me funny and seemed pretty sceptical lol. That's why I threw that in there.
 
The actual trans Jack's out there are in 2 styles, guys with a lift (too tall) , or guys without a lift (too small) . But that table Jack's right up and touches the cross member and bell housing. Then lowers enough to roll the whole works right out under the frame without messing with the height of the truck to do it.. Plus it's wide, stable, and with a single strap over the trans will be super safe.

Tomorrow I plan to buy another set of the wheel dollies, pull the Wyoming truck out and push the bee straight sideways into the short bay of the shop. Then dismantle it further there. That way I can swap parts as I remove them.

Hopefully that goes smoothly so that I can still get a bunch done on the trucks themselves. I have to stop running the impact at 9:30 or 10. So that will limit what can get done somewhat. After that it goes to all hand ratchets lol

I have a couple of dozen of these. Use them even for engines and transmissions to store them and move them around

Tried those because they are cheaper but the casters are awful.
The wheel dollies are made for the weight and don't break or seize on me with an engine on it and the rod on both sides is handy for ratchet straps to secure the engine for moving.
 
Dollies worked awesome!

And got it on the stands :thumb:.

Got everything I wanted to get off of it except the springs and front axle.

Good day overall.

1 more day with this truck and I'll jump over to the shorty thread and start installing all of this stuff :woot:

Front axle out, only thing left to pull is the springs.

Gantry made it simple :D.

Lift will clear everything front to back except the cord reel. But it comes off quick, so not a big deal.

I'll have to pull the chain fall of course lol.

Lifted the front of the truck with the gantry. So that I could get to the front spring bolt to cut it out.

I'm going to use this one for my short term needs, then clean it up, paint it, and throw it up on CL with the hopes of making enough money to make 2 more. One for me with a few changes I've thought of, and another to sell
 
My wife took about 25 pics of the process of getting it from the stands onto the trailer. It went slightly hairier that I envisioned. But all in all not to bad.

Once I sort out the pics I'll post a couple in here
