Has anyone ever did their whole blazer body and how much did it take to do two coats??? I have a Michigan Body thats has surface rust but no whole yet and want to save it and the frame. What kind of luck have you guys had as well.

I learned, I have my sandblaster and proper primer waiting on me at home.

I like encapsulators in certain circumstances.... full exteriors not being one of em...

hands down best rust inhibitor ive used. (just dont get it on your skin). i did my axles, frame, underside of cab and bed, (body off) love the stuff. super tough. i didnt do my entire body but for the underside of the bed took about a quart to do 2 coats. thats an 8 foot bed... so idk prob take you a couple gallons or so depending on if your doing the hood, roof, top half of doors, ect... hope this helps

Seems like a waste, that stuff is expensive. Just hit up the critical underbody and some surface rust spots.

What are you guys putting over the RB? It seams my Eastwood Chassis coat is melting off after a rain or two. Would rustolium be good just so I can have a uniform color?

Search Ryoken and rust bullet or paint, and you'll see the right way....

Ill have to check out Ryoken threads, My fenders and doors have a expoy primer on them was just wodering about the tub and frame.

don't let anything I've ever said sway ya, undercarriage and frame are sometimes good candidates for encapsilators...

On my frame I layed down a couple coats of Rustbullet and then a couple coats of Rust Bullet Blackshell ontop. That alone was was super tough. I sprayed over it though with a rattle can engine enamel to get the color i wanted. Dont think rain is going to melt off rustbullet.

sounds good, Should i wire brush the frame and get it super clean or just power wash it then caot it?????

I have used RB

I swear by the stuff. I have used 2 coats and then used the black top coat, expensive, yes, smelly yes, takes a week to come off your skin yes, i have used a paint brush to put it on after i have scraped and wiped down the frame, inerfenders, inside tail gate and just about every where else i could get to. I bought the six shooter package and still have some left over.

I wire wheeled the entire frame down to bare metal, cleaned it off real good, let it dry and then applied the rustbullet.

I know they say its an encapsulator, convertor, or whatever. But i just dont like the idea of applying anything over rust and trusting it to not continue rusting.

how much would i need to do the inside of the cab and engine compartment?

Im thinking a gallon?

wags i dont know how the 6 shooter package covered your needs since 36 square feet is just the back of the cab...

let me just say. the places i just put it on still look the same.{over a year}.the places i cleaned up,like the bottoms of the doors. started getting rust again.a} it was 1 coat. b} it is in a bad spot on the DD . c} i never painted over it. i can't find the pic. so i did it again and sprayed rustoleum on after a few days.;)
