rust.... how much to get rid of

So a week later what do you think man? Did you have to sand it or did it self level enough to not be "textured" from the roller?

well i have been sick for about a week... truck looks ok..
now i used a spray can for the door hinges and the back wall...
i accidentally got it on the doors when i opened them up to spray between. .... the hardner definitely added the sheen as you can see the difference.. too cold to feather in the roller paint...
definitely needs to be sanded to get it even...
yes you see the roller marks in a few spots...
roller texture is there not too bad though.. i used a slight nappy roller as that is what i had.. think if you use one with less napp it may not be as noticeable...

here she is with the bushwackers back on...

i believe with sanding it next year or compound.. it will look better...
the stuff in the can is still not hard!!!! guessing because it is in the can?
i doubt the paint will be still good by summer.. but if so.. i will wet sand and paint again 2 more coats.... even if not.. maybe ill pickup a quart or 2..
the roller put it on NICE AND THICK!!!!!:waytogo:

Good to hear. We're looking into doing a roll on and sand paint job like this on my buddy's '89 Camry. Hoping we can do it as well as we've seen on line and in the magazines. Meanwhile I've decided I don't want to spend thousands on a paint job for The Blazer if I'm going to wheel it again. Drag a limb down the side and it's not so pretty...

...yet I don't want so fugly no woman would want to ride in it. Single again and all.

Look into Zolatone...(spelling) it is the paint they used to apply to te inside of car trunks back in the day. Stuff is wicked, it has an Orange peel texture and is tough as hell. Applied by sprayer. Numerous colors available for itas well
