I want to soak these things for a few days in advance of trying to remove them. I realize that I dont't even understand the basic of what the different spay lubes are for. For instance; WD-40 vs. light penetrating oil. What should I use?

if Kroil puts PB blaster to shame then use it, but PB has always worked awesome for me

I've had good experiences with both, PB Blaster and Kroil. You can't go wrong.

just remember to put some anti-seize on them before you put new ones in. will help the next time you have to or want to remove them.

expensive but Kroil is THE STUFF to use
I always use AeroKroil. I've named it my "Can of Majic" because it works so well.

From their website
An industry proven penetrating oil that has no equal. Quickly loosens
rusted nuts and bolts - frees frozen shafts, pulleys, etc. Penetrates to 1
millionth inch spaces, dissolves rust, lubricates, cleans and prevents rust.
Displaces moisture. The oil that creeps. Used by 480 of the Fortune
500 companies!

Has anyone ever used PB Blaster and Kroil and thought the PB was better? Most guys that swear by PB have never used Kroil.

AeroKroil
Mouse Milk (yes, that's an actual product name...)

Oxygen/acetelyne. Just kidding, another vote for PB Blaster.

Whadda ya mean, kidding? I use those snake oil sprays to keep the bugs away. I have 4 torch sets, and that's what works. I believe the oils are good for bolts that are already somewhat loose. Cherry red, spray water bottle to "shock", then unscrew like butter, with a little slurpy to chase rust... Check my new body mount thread...
