Rusted together stuff.....

My trailor hitch is one that you can take out by pulling a pin out....well, all of the assembly has rusted together...besides just cutting the whole thing off, is there anyway to free that stuff up? I doubt it, but thought I'd ask.....

or after that WD40 find a shipping dock afterhours and slowly back into it (so long as the hitch sticks out farther anything else!) (I guess any building would do, but I was thinking of those large steel stops that the big rigs back up into)

Mix equal parts:

1. WD40 or other lube-goo spray "panther piss" etc.

2. Patience, and a torch if you have one

3. BFH (big ... hammer.)

I find particularly that the BFH, or the modern equivalent, the handheld grinder, solves many such problems ;-)

See if you can find some stuff called Blaster
I used it the first time on brakes, I had to replace the rear cylinders, and they were so rusty it would not budge. Sprayed on blaster ler it set a half hour(got a beer) and the stuff came right apart. It kinda eats rust.

why not pull the pin, wrap a tree saver around a big tree, hook a tow strap to your hitch, then hit the gas!

Probably doesn't need to be said, but to err on the side of caution - be careful with a torch in that area. I removed a similarly rusted receiver hitch with an eight pound hammer. Good luck.
 
GM sells there own penitrating oil...i think its as good as PB Blaster or better....and yes you might have to use the ole Blue Wrench...with some elbow grease attached to a 4lb or better hammer!!!

Yes I also had this delema
and the fix was liquid wrench heavyly aplied then drove to a field backed up to the biggest tree hammered the pin out useing a bolt small enought to just fit through the hole.
bang bang bang until the pin comes out
now hook up the tow strap to the tree and hitch jump in and nail it!
Be very carfull when I did this the hitch came out and flew back oh about 200ft wow I didn't expect it to fly that far but it did so watch out.

That's just plain mean......you guys aren't very nice or compassionate! I hope you metal starts to deteriorate and biodegrade from the sun.

We used a air hammer on the ones at work to brake up the rust, sometimes it took a combanation of oil and hammering it
