Ryoken's Guide to Rust Treatment and Bodywork 101

Recently turned 61, ten days ago. Hope springs eternal, I hope to get the Blazer out of the garage again, I hope to get to enjoy it before I am physically unable to. 15 years since it was hauled in on a semi, 11 years since it the paint put on it. The last 5 years years have just went by with not much progress.

These Blazers are patient mistresses..... ;)

I'm sure if you just start spending a hour here and there just working on small items you'll start to get that dopamine rush and will find yourself slowly wanting to get more involved with it again.

Hey everybody, I have a question. what did you do for the insides of the front fenders to rustproof?
I have new fenders with the manufacturers coating but I want to add to it. I have been using POR 15 to the underneath of
the cab and box after sripping and sanding and using the cleaner and metal prep, and i sanded the insides of the rear fenders and used POR15, but the front fenders especially down at the bottom corners, I cant get in there to sand or scuff to put some tooth for the paint to hold on to.
What have any of you done to rust proof in those tight areas?
