Hello all. its been a while.

I decided to swap in an s10 extended cab on my blazer. I know some people have done it before and wanted to learn from their experiences. Im not sure if i want to mount the cab more forward than the blazer cab. I have 1 ton axles and want to run 42-44 tires. so the back of the cab will most likely rub my tires. My rear axle has been moved back about 6" and the front forward 4". looking for some tips or pointers. thanks!
Im picking up the extended cab tomorrow. its a 93 s10.

i'm gonna do this once i find a nice ext. cab also. i'd like to hear for some who have done this too.

what is the weight difference between the two bodies? i bet the s10 bed and cab only weigh about 2/3 what the k5 tub does.

you are right. i have not weighed to be sure but towing that s10 home....it pulled like an empty trailer. I'll get some measurements and weights as soon as possible. the truck is about 7" narrower on each side and is defiantley shorter height wise. me and a friend are pulling the body off the s10 this weekend. ill know better then. Im going to box my frame in on the blazer while the body is off. I'll keep you guys updated on the progress if anyone cares :D

should be cool. how far you push the cab forward is going to depend on how close to the distributor you want to get.

so, to figure out what this frankensteined beast will be called, i guess we combine the letters and average the numbers, so it's a ks7.5, or something.

SK7 sounds better then ks7.5 but your number average is off since you have 1 ton axles for it.
