So my DD 95 S10 2.2L 5speed is missing now. Its sounds like its not getting enough fuel. It'll idle fine but when you give it gas it'll bog/hesitate and sound like its only firing on 3 cylinders. Started happening about half way into a 2 1/2 hour drive and thought i was running out of gas. I filled up and made no difference. Also no check engine lights either. It has 184K on the odometer and I was thinking it could be the cat, fuel pump, plug wires, or another ignition related something.

It is common for gas stations to end up with water in their tanks durring winter months.

First thing I would do is run a bottle of heat. Its the cheapest and easiest thing to try first.

How old is your fuel filter? If it idle's fine but bucks and snorts under throttle, that's a sign of a bad fuel filter.

I changed it back in August.

I don't really have any time to mess around with the thing so I may have to *dare I say* bring it to a shop :eek1:

Have you found it yet. :haha::haha::haha:

Seriously though, it sounds like you're on the right track. The very first thing i would do though is to do a compression test so you know if the problem is internal or external. You said you don't have the time and may take it to a shop, just find 20 minutes to at least do the compression test so you know if it's engine or tune-up related (fuel pump as well).

good idea

Although even if i had time I wouldn't be really happy to diagnose it since the thing is such a bitch to work on. And forget it if you need to get under the thing.

Hell, you might as well swap plugs and wires, both of which I (hope) are easy enough that it's not worth paying someone hourly rates and their parts rate to do. Even if you are wrong, they can't charge you for them later, which they undoubtedly will if they weren't brand new.
