Is this unit an upgraded pump that simply replaces the stock one with no mods? And is it a better pump for the price? I'm running 36tsls and need to replace my pump for the second time(which is a real pain) in 15months. Thanks for any feedback.:eek1:

Jason, saginaw is the style of pumps that are used in our trucks. What is wrong with yours that it needs replacing?

It appears to b leaking from the rear/resevoir side. I'm assuming from the seal. from what I understand there kits where u can replace pumps only or u can replace the whole unit pump with resevoir which is what I did last time. My original Q. was if there aftermarket pumps( complete with resevoir) that are better than others. The one I have now is from napa.

all the pumps u buy from a parts store will be about the same, arg & some others manuf. high volume/pressure ones for rock rams. u can mod one to make it do the same.

if yours is leaking from the resevoir it may only need a new o-ring, either in the housing under one of the bolts or on the pressure line coming off the rear.

if u are not having steering problems, u prolly don't need a new pump.
