What do you guys think? Think its worth the price? How much should he offer? Im thinking 800 at most.

The thing that gets me is the tranny having to be manually shifted. I assume its on its way out? Also heard th350s and 400s are cheap to have rebuilt? Is the th350/np205 standard in a 84 k10? Thought it wouold have a 400 or 700r4 and np208. Im assuming it has 10 bolts stock, any idea what gear ratios it could have? I was thinking that if anything he could get it, drive the th350 till it blows up and then throw in a th400. theni figure he can throw in a 14bff in the rear and he should be set. Think hes too cheap to throw a d60 in. That being said, are 14bff off of k30s from 72-91 all bolt in? any other source of 14bff? Thanks

Btw, shortbed 80s model chevy trucks are the only chevys he likes, otherwise he dosnt like burbs or k5s.. odd. Hes a bronco guy:dunno:

that shouldnt be the stock tcase, it may have had a th350 though. likely a 700r4 too, just not sure when those started. would definatley not have had the 400. and yeah theyre reasonable to rebuild.

hell here even rusty it would fetch that pretty quickly, offer 800. see if the dude bites.

hell, find another runnin th350 for a couple hundred bucks. and he wants a 14 bolt from a 3/4 ton, that one will bolt in. from a c or k30 will require rewelding the perches. and its likely to have 373 or 308s for gears.

Most 70's/80's 3/4 ton trucks will have a FF 14 bolt that will bolt right under that truck.

A FF 14 bolt from a K30 will have different spring spacing and shock mounts.

As for the trans, the TH350 is a really good one. I'd keep it, seems like maybe the shifts are controlled by something on the outside of the trans? Regardless, if the trans is bad its cheap and easy to rebuild.

Changing to a TH400 means changing the transfer case (it will need a 32 spline input which requires a bigger input bearing which requires machining of that 205 or buying one that was behind a TH400).
