1/2 ton status
well finally starting my build thread... ive been collecting for some time now and im closing in on actualy getting underway.
specs of the build are as such:
-fresh 3/4 ton 10 bolt front, open with 5.13s
-rebuilt and mildly shaved 14ff with 5.13s, disk brakes and a detriot
-used ORU SAS brackets with 7" shackles
-Crossover steering
-OOBS dodge 52s
-clocked, pass. drop np241
-7" shackles in the rear and the moving of my shackle flip again
-ford shock towers
-14" travel 5100s (inboarded in the rear)
-K30 master cylinder
-38.5x15/16.5 Boggers
-recentered H1 double beadlocks
-square front shaft with a 1350 Tom Woods superflex joint up top
all of this will not go on at one time, rather in stages as funds allow
and on to the pics...

ORU brackets (yes, one of the front hangers has an irrelivant dent, and all the backing plates are there)

. the threads on the short side of the stud wher about 1/4" longer than the thickness of the ring so we figured tighten them real good so they dont come out, yea not such a good idea. after we pulled it out and saw what we did, the only thing we had available to try and fix it was jb weld
, so we filled in the spots with that and filed it down, added a liberal layer of RTV and commenced to reinstalling... all seemed to be going smoothly untill after i filled the case again and backed it up 20 feet so i could clean the shop, well it leaks again, so im gonna try a few things to help my cause here in the next few days, but if i cant get it right, i guess ill have to bring it to a machine shope and get the spots filled in with weld and milled down flush. oh what a joyous day, and now the pics
