Try this, no revs tho. Its just an idle video of the whole exhaust. A buddy of mine has lot of hours in this exhaust, he's picky and had to have it perfect at every seam. It came out really nice and clean. I'll get a better video when the trucks home after its tuned. Should be tuned by the weekend.. I sand blasted the trailer hitch, finished a few welds and gave it a fresh coat of satin black. I will put that on and hook the trailer up as soon as its home, lots of work to do with it being gone so long.

I know it's not real clear, it was sent to me. Sorry it's not real good, be patient..lol.

Tuning today a few ups n downs, added 3 more degrees made a decent difference but the air temps were going up. The intercooler pump wasnt running, hot wired it works ok tho so it's the harness or a relay. The pumps going to get moved closer and right down hill from the tank. That way it stays primed all the time. The varimax pump is a little finicky to say the least. So with the pump hot wired and a few pulls it has really woken up.

Thru tunes 7 degrees has been added and still no knock, its taking timing still and runs really well. Better than I ever thought it would. Going to keep going until the power starts to drop then back it off. Right now it spins the tires easily and if your in it it will even brake em loose in 3rd gear. So that's come a long way for sure. Now a problem that persist tho is wheel hop something fierce, I need to figure out what way to adjust it.

Cleaned up the factory hitch, spacing in down 3/4 so its away from the shackle flip. Had plates plasma cut for both sides and the area where it bolts to the bumper. Used 3/8 and will stack 2 pieces and tac weld em together. Also picked up some flange head bolts 3/4 longer than stock and some steel lock nuts with washers. Ordered a new GM 7 pin plug too so it will all be new and clean.

Seems like this is never ending with problems, the converter wouldn't go into lockup and there is a noise between the engine and trans at a certain rpm. Now that there's more power there's more problems.. From what it looks like the flex plate is broken, with the cover off that what it has come too. Its was new stock gm from the dealer but they do say they are weak. So i bought a tci machined 12.9 flex plate, that should do the trick and hold up better. Hopefully its all back together in a few days. Then it should be good to go after a few lockup tests.

So the noise is still there, trans was apart too and that's not it either. The converter was swapped out with another that's the same so it will be tested today to see what happens. My converter has a 5 year warranty so its still under warranty and is getting sent back to be gone thru. As soon as that comes in it should be all good.

I picked up the truck today, drove it 297 miles. Runs really good, rather impressive. The trans was 120 degrees and shifted perfectly, the 408 had 45 psi of oil pressure with 200 degrees at 2700 rpms. Thru the mountains all the way home it never left overdrive. The exhaust is real deep with no rasp or drone, rolling down the highway it has a decent tone. After i clean it up this week i'll get videos and pics....be patient..lol

I did the power steering lines last night, both hard lines from the master down were a real bitch. I had to remove the intercooler to change the power steering cooler which was fun too. The whole system bleed real nice for a change. I also had the chance to clean use a clay bar on the paint and give it a coat of adams before the snow comes. The oil pressure since new has been strange, i see 28lbs at idle and 55 at wot hot, they said at texas speed its fine but i keep thinking its kind of low. I was going to change the oil pump to the next step up melling but i might not now. I did alot of reading and that oil pressure seems ok. The tune that's in it now if you launch it you will get rubber in 2nd gear, its pretty fun. I picked up a set of chrome h2 wheels with under 1/2 tread swamper 37s. Not sure should i put them on or just run my 20s with the coopers thru winter and save the swampers for my 83.

This is trial and error, not sure if I like it or not. It's not leveled out or fully bolted, nature didnt cooperate today. Should tomorrow tho. It's a 2017 1500 lt bumper. Complete with brackets and the harness.

oh ...... pricey :doah:

A regular stock bumper like was on it go for 400.00 plus for a good one. As for this one being pricey..Not really, i got a decent deal. A small body shop had it for sale on facebook. They can't use it and want it gone. These are 1k new from gm which is nuts. I bought it for less than 1/2...that would get you close.

I'll mess with it in the am and see how it comes out. The closer and higher I get it the better it will fit. From the rear it can go up about 3/4 of an inch till the gate touches it. Plus in another 1/4, so that will help a ton. There's no place for the 2 hitch to bumper bolts tho. Not sure should I run a tube across for it or let it go. I'm not sure how much the 2 center bolts do.

Spent 2 hours today, clamped it where I wanted it with c clamps. Marked the holes and drilled 6 new 1/2 inch holes. I have it bolted on with factory bolts. It fits rather well and the gaps are spot on. The bottom sits about 3/8 from the body. The lip on the cap is 1/8 away from the body and the tail gate opens with 3/16 to spare. Painted plastics like the front bumper will make it blend in alot better and help it look like it belongs there.
