sas springs..?....unsure

Getting ready to do a straight axle conv on my 03 2500hd with the offroad direct kit. It calls for 99-04 superduty front springs which are 54 inches. Im totally unsure what brand to buy. Out of skyjacker, procomp, bds, rubicon express and superlift the procomps have the lowest spring rate but there also the cheapest. Im afraid it will ride worse than the cranked ifs, the ford superduty site says icon dynamics but there over 800.00 shipped, custon alcans are a little over 600, deavers are 850. Procomps are 250 a pair....wow....that scares me. The spring rate is also 430 which is pretty good and close to the 6.0 ls weight. 52s are going to be too flexy and wont be long enough so thats out.



Any ideas...helps appreciated.

Ive been searching and looking at front leafs....im still unsure what to do.

I found icon dynamics leafs for 675. shipped, they are 12 leaf 2.5 wide

The procomps are 6 leaf 3.0 wide...

The alcans would be almost the same as the icons but will take 4 weeks to get for 625...

Do i just buy the cheaper ones and test em out or do i just bite the bullet and get a better set...........?

I've had good luck with Skyjacker. Not really sure why, but they appear to be out of favor here

Not a fan of Superlift, bought a full set and the rears started sagging immediately. You can't go wrong with Alcan, good customer service and their springs hold up. No experience with the others.

I would not go with the cheapest set. Think about it, you are spending time and money to do a SAS, the front springs are important for ride quality.

Id like to go with alcans, just hate to wait 3-4 weeks to get em. I mite just go that route tho, i only wana do it one time. I personally think superlift springs suck, i had them on my 83 and really didnt like em, the skyjackers are a super high spring rate.
