SAS Teaser Pics

alright, it's been 4 months....give us the goods dammit!!!!!!!!!

Sorry guys. I've done everything except re-route the drivers side exhaust pipe so that I can install a new front driveshaft. Funding has been a bit tight. Once it is 4wd again, I will do the write up.

Since I am in the front driveshaft sourcing spot, what did you use for a front driveshaft?

I don't have a front d-shaft yet. I've done everything on the SAS except:

a) Reroute driver side exhaust for front driveshaft clearance.

b) Fabricate and install front driveshaft.

thats were the ford shock towers come in to play in factory ford setup with the lower mounts up top of the springs.

Are those lower shock mounts in the front built into ubolt plate?

They sure are. I guess that is how Ford does things. I just reused their hardware.

I ended up using the Ford shock towers to compensate for the height of the lower shock mounts.

Which HP60 uses those? Seems like spring pad spacing would come into play there.

The axle came out of an '88 F350.

They used the same setup from 1980 thru 1998, or when ever they got rid of the square body.

They used 2.5" wide leafs back then.

Yeah, you tell him! Even if he can't hear you now. I'm starting to think he went and got banned just so you guys wouldn't harrass him about getting this write-up done.

I was trying to find out where that front cross member spring support came from...

I have learned that converting my 2x to 4x I'll need to drop the front of the front springs a couple of inches...his front spring mount looks like what I'll need.
